Job summary

Rehrig Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wilkes-Barre to own upkeep, troubleshoot machinery, and keep production flowing. The role emphasizes hands-on work with forklifts, conveyors, and other plant equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial maintenance in fast-paced plants.
• Strong mechanical skills: forklifts, conveyors, dock doors.
• Welding and metal fabrication expertise.
• Preventive maintenance familiarity and safety practices.
• Lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication and a team mindset.
• LEAN and 5S knowledge is a plus.
• MS Word, Excel, and web-based systems skills.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the Upkeep system: track work orders, schedule repairs, manage parts.
• Inspect, repair, and install equipment from forklifts to conveyors.
• Champion facility upkeep: keep plant clean, organized, production ready.
• Lead with safety: follow OSHA standards and company protocols.
• Collaborate with leadership on LEAN improvements and special projects.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently (training provided).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Knowledge of LEAN and 5S practices is a plus.
• Tech-savvy with MS Word, Excel, and web-based systems.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% when needed.
