Responsibilities

• Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Supports the manufacturing process and the facility by maintaining or repairing equipment.
• Completes planned maintenance projects in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintains working order of necessary repair equipment and tools.
• Tests completed equipment to ensure good working order once repairs are made.
• Uses schematics to rebuild or repair various equipment parts as needed.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Reporting To: Randy Hargrove

Compensation: $22.84 - $34.37 / hour

Description

Responsible for maintaining the internal and external facility physical assets of the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Supports the manufacturing process and the facility by maintaining or repairing equipment.
• Completes planned maintenance projects in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintains working order of necessary repair equipment and tools.
• Tests completed equipment to ensure good working order once repairs are made.
• Uses schematics to rebuild or repair various equipment parts as needed.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience with maintenance equipment to include welding and machine shop equipment.
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools, test equipment, and hand tools.
• Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
• Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others.
• Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• 3-5 years or more of experience working in a maintenance position (required).
• 3-Phase 480 VAC (preferred)
• Motor controls and PLC experience (preferred)
• Strong methodical troubleshooting skills with a focus on root-cause (preferred)
• Completion of a trade school or equivalent completing certificate in maintenance (preferred).
