Pay: $ 32.68

Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday!

Training: Must be able to train on day shift for the first few weeks.

What you will do: The responsibilities are to maintain the injection molding equipment and facility to provide a safe and productive work environment while providing a quality product to our customers.

Process equipment includes injection molding presses, material blenders and grinders, pumps, motors, electrical systems, conveying systems, robots, automatic handling equipment, assembly machinery etc.

Requires diversified and skilled work using a high degree of independent initiative and good judgement plus the ability to improve and adapt where necessary. Good troubleshooting skills are required. Maintains and installs process piping, valves, pumps, timers, thermocouples, fittings, gauges, solenoids, switches, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Successful candidates must have the ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical prints. PLC experience a plus.

How you will do it:

· Routinely perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

· Must be able to read schematics and blueprints, capable of servicing and operating rectifiers, capable of operating precision hand tools, and electronic equipment.

· Complete work orders which will involve mechanical, electrical and/or PLC skillsets.

· Ability to troubleshoot equipment to solve problems.

· Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, operators, and management.

· Know the safety risk assessments and policies to perform work safely. Including wearing all the proper PPE for the job.

· Follow all safety and environmental procedures which includes lockout tagout, electrical safety and arc flash.

· Be trained to be a First Responder.

· Requires ability to plan and layout work, determine accurate and efficient methods, diagnoses, and corrects difficulties to minimize production interruptions.

· Ability to use computer system to update work orders.

· May be required to do electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repair.

· Must be able to read schematics and blueprints, capable of servicing and operating rectifiers, capable of operating precision hand tools, and electronic equipment.

· Adjust machines for production when adjustment is beyond scope of operator. Modifies equipment as required.

· Installs new equipment including hook up of electrical power, gas, water, air, etc. Moves equipment to new locations.

· Maintains and installs piping, fittings, valves, gauges, and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and airlines.

· Requires ability to set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc. and improvises where equipment is limited.

· Designs and builds small tools and fixtures from sketches or verbal instructions.

· Makes periodic checks of machines and equipment and performs preventive maintenance as required: oils, cleans, greases, etc.

· Performs carpentry and sheet metal work in fabricating and repairing benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc. Makes sketches for and builds racks, bins, shelves, and other aids to production.

· May perform other duties as directed by management.

What we look for:

  • Ethical conduct, problem solving mindset, and technical capability.
  • 2+ years maintenance mechanic experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems is required.
  • Technical training to include mechanical and/or electrical, and PLC logic preferred.
  • Ability to work all shifts up to 12 hours including weekends preferred, as overtime may be required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend and stoop to access equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand all production specifications, blueprints and wiring diagrams required.
  • Ability to record required data neatly and accurately.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be able to supply your own tools.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident card holder. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
