Job summary

UNITED COOPERATIVE is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Waupun, WI for 2nd shift (2:30pm–11pm, Mon–Fri) to support the soybean processing plant, feed mill, and grain elevator. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with corrective repairs, and participate in equipment installations, while following all safety procedures.

The role requires at least two years in millwright or industrial maintenance, with knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and experience with CMMS tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years millwright, industrial maintenance, or agricultural equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Good troubleshooting abilities and experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of facility functions and processes.

• Interface with Fiix CMMS for PMs, work orders, inventory, and purchasing.

Position Summary: Our Waupun location is looking for a Maintenance Technician that will assist with preventive maintenance needs, perform (and assist with) corrective and breakdown repairs, and assist with equipment installations at the soybean processing plant, feed mill, and grain elevator.Duties & Responsibilities:Develop a full understanding of the internal and external functionalities of the facilities.Communicate effectively with supervision, plant, mill employees, contractors, vendors, etc.Responsible for interfacing with Fiix CMMS computerized maintenance management systems for PMs, work orders, inventory, and purchasingFollow all necessary safety procedures, and ensure safety of self, coworkers, and customers.Learn processes, product flow and computer system functions of the plant and mill.Assist in the training of mill employees on proper preventive maintenance.Assist or lead preventive maintenance procedures (i.e. cleaning, lubricating, inspecting).Assist or lead corrective and breakdown maintenance repairs and procedures.Assist in procuring parts and tools necessary.Assist in determining strategies to reduce overall downtime, improve safety and efficiency.Work with plant and mill employees to minimize production interruptions caused by maintenance work.Maintain cleanliness of working area, equipment, and tools.Develop a full understanding, internally and externally, of the soybean processing plant and the feed mill.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum of two years millwright, industrial maintenance, or agricultural equipment maintenance and repair experience.Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.Good troubleshooting abilities and experience.Good oral and written communication skills.Good basic math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.Preferred:Boiler experience – working knowledge of boiler operations.Experience working with automated computer production.Skilled in metal working techniques, welding, and fabrication.Experience in PLC troubleshooting.Previous production maintenance experience.Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:This position is 2nd shift 2:30pm to 11pm - Monday – Friday and will be participating on call rotation.Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts.Ability to work safely at various heights.Ability to work safely in high noise environments.Ability to stoop/bend, twist, squat and climb stairs and ladders.Ability to climb bucket elevators (legs) and other equipment.Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.Ability to work in all weather conditions.
