Job summary

Woodlands Senior Living in Maine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facility and its grounds in top condition. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems, and help manage upkeep of outdoor spaces to support resident safety and comfort.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Must provide proof of immunization/immunity to MMR and Varicella.
  • A current, valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine and a driving record that is satisfactory to the company may be required
  • Strong command of the English language with the ability to follow oral and written instructions with precision

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical as necessary and as directed by Administrator/Supervisor and/or company maintenance schedule.
  • Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc. including cutting, mowing, watering, trimming, policing, sweeping, snow removal etc., as necessary and as directed by Administrator/Supervisor and/or company maintenance schedule.
  • Perform routine inspection of the interior and exterior conditions.
  • Service heating and cooling units/systems as specified by the manufacturer and as needed and as directed by Administrator/Supervisor and/or company maintenance schedule.
  • Perform janitorial duties to include floor/carpet cleaning, refuse disposal, etc. as needed and as directed by Administrator/Supervisor and/or company maintenance schedule.
  • Organize workload to accommodate resident needs and to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed.
