Job summary

Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Irvine, CA to keep our affordable housing properties in excellent condition. The role involves HVAC/plumbing/carpentry/electrical tasks, coordinating service requests, and preparing units for occupancy.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years in maintenance/facilities, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and participate in an on‑call rotation. We offer comprehensive benefits and a mission‑driven team.”

  • Ability to work emergency on‑call rotation as needed and can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8‑hour shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform essential work to keep our properties in great shape.
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner, interact with residents, and keep property systems in good working order.
  • Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established timeframe.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds; address safety issues with management.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with supervisor.
  • Partner with maintenance supervisor to prepare site for inspections.
  • Rotating on‑call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs.

What you’ll be doing as a maintenance technician
  • Perform essential work to keep our properties in great shape
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner, interact with residents, and keep your property’s systems in good working order
  • Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established timeframe
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds; immediately address safety issues with management
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with supervisor
  • Partner with maintenance supervisor to prepare site for inspections
  • HVAC license required
  • Rotating on‑call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs

Anticipated salary range
  • $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
  • Plus an annual bonus
  • This position is non‑exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay

This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position.
