The role focuses on keeping production equipment up and running, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience, an electronics/ Electrical Technology background, and a welding certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associate degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology or equivalent training.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as Production Operator or Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment (mixing, handling, packaging).
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; assist with setup, changeovers and start-ups.
• Support PLCs, robotics, and automated production equipment; coordinate with vendors for complex control issues.
• Maintain facility systems (dust collection, pressure vessels, plant utilities, lifting equipment).
• Uphold safety standards; report incidents; ensure zero safety violations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy across the plant.

Summary
About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will support our manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems. This role is critical to ensuring equipment uptime, safety, and efficient plant operations.

• Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on:
  • Mixing & processing equipment (Ribbon Blenders, Kettles, Grinders, Pellet Mills)
  • Material handling systems (vacuum conveyance, screw conveyors, powered conveyors)
  • Packaging equipment (bottling lines, form/fill/seal machines, ultrasonic sealers)
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement timely solutions. Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and start-ups.
• Automation & Controls
  • Support basic troubleshooting of PLCs and automated systems.
  • Work with robotics and automated production equipment to maintain functionality.
  • Partner with external vendors or internal teams for advanced controls issues.
• Facility & Utility Support
  • Maintain facility systems including:
    • Dust collection systems
    • Pressure vessels
    • Plant utilities and support equipment
    • Ensure proper operation of lifting equipment (job cranes, vacuum lifters)
• Safety
  • Zero safety violations
  • Report all safety incidents and/or near misses.
  • Must adhere to all prescribed safety instructions. Heavy machinery will be in use so a safety mindset is required
• Inventory
  • All Mayzo employees are responsible for inventory accuracy.
• Other Duties as assigned.
