Overview

Maintain all building-related systems and the building envelope to ensure the safety of guests, associates, and vendors. Ensure compliance with company policies, preventative maintenance programs, SOPs, Mission, Vision, and Values, as well as all relevant building, fire, and health codes. Strive to keep the building energy-efficient by continuously seeking energy-saving opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., "room care").
  • Check and perform minor repairs on electrical systems, air conditioning controls, televisions, lighting, and make necessary replacements.
  • Assist with repairs on hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, plumbing fixtures, etc.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including chemical adjustments and filter cleaning, and complete maintenance logs.
  • Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).
  • Refurbish and paint furniture and fixtures within guest rooms as needed.
  • Move furniture and fixtures throughout the building.
  • Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Operate heavy machinery and work in extreme temperatures as required.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work regularly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Vocational training, military experience, certification, or experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry required.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to climb, read, stand, walk, and lift 25-50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate work progress effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
Compensation

Not eligible for tips or discretionary bonuses.
