Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Louisiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to respond to emergencies, install conduit and wiring, service air handlers, and perform plumbing, lighting, welding, and cooling tower work across our casino facilities.

The role requires physical agility, experience with hand/power tools, and the ability to communicate via 2-way radio. Prior maintenance experience is preferred, and equal opportunity employment is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to stand and walk for long shifts.
• Capable of stooping, kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to communicate by two-way radio.
• Must maintain clear communication.
• Must obtain/maintain required licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies such as fire, power outage, gas leak, water leak.
• Install electrical conduit and wiring throughout the facility.
• Service and repair air handling units.
• Install and repair plumbing.
• Repair or install parking lot lighting ballasts.
• Weld metal fabrication and install materials.
• Replace and install high voltage shunt and motor control gear.
• Service and repair cooling towers.
• Clear drains with an electric snake.
• Repair and install equipment including TV, ceiling, lighting, fixtures, kitchen equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of air conditioners; service compressor units.

Job Description

• Physically respond to emergency situations; i.e., fire, power outage, gasleak, water leak, or any other emergency situation or repair.
• Install electrical conduit and wiring throughout complex.
• Service and repair air handler units.
• Install and repair plumbing.
• Repair or install parking lot lighting ballasts.
• Weld metal fabrication and install material built.
• Replace and install high voltage shunt and motor control gear.
• Service and repair cooling towers.
• Clear drains with electric rotary action snake or other appropriate manner.
• Repair and install new or damaged equipment; such as, television repairs,ceiling repairs due to water leaks, lighting repairs, fixtures, kitchen andother equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of air conditioners; remove orrepair air conditioner compressor unit.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
• Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/orcertifications.
