Job summary

CBRE is hiring a Maintenance Technician II to support automated robotic and material handling systems at a client facility. You will perform hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and performance improvements to keep systems running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong computer skills. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and on-site work at a client site in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform routine maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with the Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.

About the Role

Step into the heart of automation. As a Maintenance Technician II, you’ll support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of cutting‑edge robotic and material handling systems within a dynamic client facility. From hands‑on repairs to performance enhancements, you’ll play a key role in keeping complex systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

  • Proficiencyusing computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

  • Experience using powered or non‑powered hand tools.

  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations suchas;routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.

  • Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’sor higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the mechanical or electrical field.

  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulicand pneumatic systems.

  • Experience with MHE safety standardsin accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.

  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • 2+ years' experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.

  • 2+ years' experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.

  • 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading

  • 2+yearof knowledge with electrical and electronic principles

  • 2+yearexperience of following anddemonstratingsafety standards

  • 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $61,401 annually or $29.52 per hour, and the maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $68,848 annually or $33.10 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
