Job summary

Drax Group in Aliceville, Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support site operations. You will perform maintenance on equipment, set up tooling measurement devices, and ensure tolerances are maintained to prevent defects.

Qualifications

  • Capable of bearings replacement, motor alignment, basic rigging, and basic welding; multi-craft skills including electrical knowledge.
  • Able to work at heights.

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively anticipate and diagnose problems, as well as perform mechanical maintenance.

  • Complete housekeeping duties as requested and ensure that the designated area is clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Monitor and optimize stock inventories of new tools, in-process tools, heaters, and other equipment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers regarding quality issues, specifications, and other relevant matters.
  • Inspect equipment and report any damage or mechanical problems.
  • Record and report operational data, such as readings from meters, instruments, and gauges.
