Job summary

Sierra Tucson, a recognized residential treatment center, seeks a Full-time Maintenance Tech for our campus at 39580 S Lago del Oro Parkway, Tucson, AZ. Schedule: Tue-Sat 7:00am–3:30pm. Hourly pay $17.50.

On-call biweekly rotation. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, disability, 401(k) with match, PTO/holidays, EAP and ongoing training. Responsibilities include general maintenance, emergency response, and preventive maintenance per schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations.
• Knowledge of standard building/maintenance practices and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment including plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical repairs.
• Back-up for call person in case of emergency; respond timely.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedule and complete reports.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, generator, fire alarm system, and extinguishers; maintain lighting.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing system and repair fixtures; refinishing furniture as needed.
• Perform other functions as assigned.

Sierra Tucson, a world renowned residential treatment center, is seeking a Full time Maintenance Tech to work at our beautiful campus, located at 39580 S Lago del Oro Parkway, Tucson AZ.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday between the hours of 7:am-3:30pm

Hourly Pay: $17.50 per hour

Paid On Call: Biweekly Rotation

Essential Functions

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment which may involve plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical equipment repair or similar.
• Act as back-up for call person in case of emergency, respond timely and appropriately.
• Handle all equipment in a safe manner to prevent accidents and demonstrate good working knowledge of tools and their safe use.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedule / instruction and complete reports, as requested.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test/start generator once a week and maintain equipment; inspect and maintain fire alarm system to include testing system, fire doors, audible alarms, visible alarms(lights) and smoke detectors and record data on appropriate forms as required by state or facility; check condition and readiness of extinguishers monthly; inspect and maintain lighting system throughout facility.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing system, replace or repair faucets, toilet stools, urinals, traps, drains, basins and bathtubs, as needed; repair or refinishe furniture in rooms, offices and dining room as needed.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations required.
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.
