This role will be during split shift hours M-Th: 11:00-9:30

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. You will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as sheet metal fabrication equipment, CNC machines, Saws, weld equipment, air compressors, paint line equipment and forklifts.
• Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
• Able to follow and take direction over the phone while working with equipment manufacturers while troubleshooting equipment.
• Be able to perform basic building maintenance including but not limited to painting, replacement of doors, lights, ballast, and other building systems, light plumbing repair and diagnostics.
  
  

Requirements

• Recommended three-five years of experience in a maintenance/mechanic role
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Able to operate a forklift.
• Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate are a plus.
• LME certificate preferred but not required
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding is an asset.
