Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Troy, VA seeks a Maintenance Technician to support operation, maintenance, and optimization of robotic and material handling systems in a client facility.

You’ll perform hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and performance enhancements while documenting activities and coordinating with the client’s operations maintenance team. Shift flexibility (day or night) and travel for training are required to ensure safe, reliable equipment and continuous productivity.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of related experience or training.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.
  • Ability to travel for training and work in a dynamic client facility.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines and document them.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays).
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Maintain safe working environment and coordinate with client operations maintenance teams.

Job description

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of cutting-edge robotic and material handling systems within a dynamic client facility in Troy, VA. From hands-on repairs to performance enhancements, you’ll play a key role in keeping complex systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably.**Please note we are seeking candidates who are shift flexible (day shift OR night shift)****Must be able to travel for training.**What You’ll DoPromote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.Track and store department inventory.Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.What You’ll NeedHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).1 year of related experience and/or training.Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as; routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.Preferred QualificationsAssociate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the mechanical or electrical field.2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).2+ years' experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.2+ years' experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading2+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles2+ year experience of following and demonstrating safety standards1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systemsYou should be proficient in:Heavy Equipment RepairMechanical Troubleshooting Skills120/208/240/480 Voltage SystemsElectrical TroubleshootingPneumatics TroubleshootingMaintenance and Repair SkillsIndustrial Electrical ExperienceHydraulic Systems & ComponentsEquipment Diagnostics & TroubleshootingLockout/Tagout (LOTO)Equipment Repair & MaintenanceEquipment InstallationAircraft MaintenanceMachines & technologies you'll use:Conveyor Systems
