Job description

Job Description
  • Preventive maintenance on equipment: check lubrication levels; fill and grease, clean and pump press pans; run recycle equipment, clean and paint equipment; assist in job set‑ups for adjustments beyond set‑up associate scope.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor to train associates on new or modified equipment and perform other maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Strong ability to use independent judgment in determining work processes and performing the job.
  • Basic demonstrated competence in electricity/electronics, hydraulic/pneumatics, system and control configurations, schematics, and documentation.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge, welding, plumbing, and machining.
  • Design and layout electrical distribution systems for equipment installation.
  • Design and layout plumbing systems (air, water, etc.) for equipment installation.
  • Perform troubleshooting for all equipment.
  • Perform repairs (factory technology level) of air compressors.
  • Perform electrical repairs of all equipment.
  • Perform mechanical repairs (up to factory technology level) of all equipment.
  • Perform gas, arc, and heli‑arc welding on various equipment.
  • Perform adjustments of vision systems and fiber‑optic systems.
  • Write technical data for set‑up, checking, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in arithmetic.
  • Basic oral and written communication skills.
  • Comply with all Environment, Health, and Safety rules and procedures.
  • Computer skills: use of CMM, equipment software (PLC, OPI), Office software.
  • State certified DOL journeyman's card or UAW maintenance machine repair card.

  • Hazards: lethal voltages, compressed air, pressurized fluids, rotational force, linear movement, pinch points associated with machinery.
