Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair facility buildings, grounds, and industrial equipment. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support production by ensuring equipment reliability and safety.

The role requires wiring experience, reading diagrams, and familiarity with TPM and IATF 16949 standards. High school diploma and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs are expected.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of all company buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures that industrial machinery, electrical systems, water lines, and facility structures remain operational, safe, and efficient. The technician performs routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, assists external vendors when specialized repairs are required, and contributes to the general cleanliness and functionality of the company grounds. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth operational workflows across the property and supporting ongoing production needs.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance on various equipment per property management schedule
• Cleaning, checking, and lubricating machinery and equipment as part of routine preventive maintenance activities
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machinery failures as they arise
• Sustaining Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
• Supporting IATF 16949 maintenance requirements by maintaining preventive maintenance records, equipment service history, and evidence of completed maintenance activities
• Running electrical wiring, ranging from 120V to 280V 3-Phase, to machinery and equipment
• Installing and repairing water lines
• Assisting outside vendors when repairs are outside our abilities
• Coordinating with vendors and service providers to support a safe workplace and maintaining required safety documentation for all service providers to the site
• Conducting routine building inspections of emergency systems, including emergency lighting, exits, alarms, and related safety equipment
• Performing the maintenance of the buildings and other structures on the property
• Performing routine clean-up of company grounds.
• Performing the maintenance of the parking lot
• Performing all other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to perform maintenance on industrial machinery such as welders, lathes, pumps, etc.
• Ability to wire 120V, and 240V 3-Phase electrical systems
• Ability to read a wiring diagram
• Ability to braze copper tubing
• Understanding of basic motors and motor controls
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair A/C and D/C drives
  • Previous welding experience or supporting welding functions considered a plus
  • Ability to work with measurement devices (ex- rulers, measuring tapes, calipers, micrometers)
  • Ability to sustain moderate physical effort, working with light to medium weight material.
  • Lifting, bending, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling are common and repetitious. Concentrated mental and visual attention in working to close tolerances is required. High degree of physical and manual dexterity and visual attention for sustained period also required.
  • Ability to read and understand standard work instructions
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance documentation, equipment records, and maintenance controls used to support IATF 16949 quality system requirements highly preferred
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong team spirit, coachability, and a willingness to learn new skills and processes
