Job summary

R C Lacy, Inc in Catskill, NY is seeking a Quick Lube Service Technician to perform oil changes, fluid checks, and basic maintenance with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

You will drive vehicles for testing, identify issues quickly, and use power and hand tools to repair or replace worn parts. Prior Ford or Subaru dealer experience is a plus; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automobiles and automobile systems.
• Ability to identify the problem quickly.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Reading, computer and mathematics skills are solid.
• Willingness to learn new repair procedures and specs.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.

Job description

This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Quick Lube Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.

Quick Lube Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly

• Previous experience at a Ford or Subaru dealership is a plus

• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

• High school diploma or GED

• New York State Inspector License is a plus

• ASE certifications is a plus

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
