Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Tech. The Maintenance Tech. will be responsible forfor the continuous operation and maintenance of equipment,machinery, andthe facility. Other responsibilities will include preventive maintenance, diagnosing operational issues, reducing the incidence of costly breakdowns, and developingstrategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant personnel and production processes. This role is located in Texas City, TXand will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $19.50-$25/hr based experience

Schedule: 1st shift

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Proactively performquality inspections for equipment, machinery, and the facility
• Assist in thepurchase,installation and repairof equipment and capital projects
• Work closely withOperations Team, keepingtheminformed of project status
• Support OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures
• Support management with data gathering to support key initiatives
• Install new or replacement parts and test equipment operation
• Create and maintain a safe organized working environment
• Respond toemergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
• Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work
• Act swiftly to address equipment breakdowns
• Actively communicate with teammates
• Other Operations tasks as assigned

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management
• Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
• Ability to work flexible hours as required by the position
• Ability to successfully complete a CA CDL Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred

Physical Demands:

• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
• Standing, walking up to 8 hours
• Twisting, bending up to 4 hours
• Operation of sit-down/stand-up lift
• Perform duties under pressure of deadlines
