Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in an industrial setting.

The role requires at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with strong mechanical and electrical skills; welding is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and lift up to 40 lbs. is needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical skills required; welding preferred.
• Strong ability to read basic machine blueprints and use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safe condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled.
• Repair facility equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure as needed.
• Troubleshoot systems to identify failures and recommend fixes.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. and operate basic machine shop equipment.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This maintenance mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, reading operations manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains the safe working condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds
• Constructs fixtures as required
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled
• Repairs facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds
• Removes and/or installs fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation
• Troubleshoots systems to find causes of failures and recommends solutions for repair
• Maintains cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures
• Other duties will be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• Forklift training and certification will be provided by company as necessary
• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred
• Mechanical skills
• Electrical skills, preferred
• Welding skills preferred
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to review and understand basic machine blueprints
• Ability to use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
