Job summary

AZZ Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Terrell Surface Technology facility to perform plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, and machine servicing. Reports to the Plant Manager and ensures equipment uptime and safety.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of related maintenance experience and a high school diploma. Preference for galvanizing or metal coating knowledge, and experience with HV 480 electricity, cranes, hoists, and forklifts is strongly valued.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of related maintenance experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations preferred.
• Experience with HV 480 electricity, cranes, hoists, and forklifts strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, and reassembles defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them.
• Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Work in a production role as needed during maintenance slowdowns.

Job Description

• Will work in a production role as necessary during maintenance slowdowns.
