Job summary

Morton Industries LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Dunlap, TN. You will perform complex maintenance on plant machinery, including welding, carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing repairs. Work from plans and sketches to install and service equipment, conveyors, robots, and PLCs.

The role requires hands-on skills with electrical and mechanical systems and offers growth opportunities within a long-standing manufacturing company with extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree with technical focus or 2 years related experience preferred.
• Experience with welding, carpentry, electrical, pipe fitting and plumbing repairs helpful.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains plant machinery and facilities.
• Diagnoses and repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Operates robot controllers and programmable controllers to test and verify repairs.
• Plans wiring layouts and installs wiring and electrical equipment in buildings.
• Replaces faulty components and conducts tests to ensure safety and reliability.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Duties may include welding, carpentry, electric, pipe fitting, and plumbing repairs as necessary. Working from plans, sketches, or design. Constructs equipment for plant use. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**Include, but are not limited to, the following:* Installs power supply, wiring, and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.* Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment; connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.* Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery, buzzer, and oscilloscope.* Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and conducts repairs.* Tests and/or observes malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with operator and/or manufacturers to diagnose issues. Perform repairs as necessary.* Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.* Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.* Operates as necessary, robot controller, teach pendant, and/or programmable controller to program automated machinery, such as robots to operate automated machinery to test for malfunctions and to verify repairs.* Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.* Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.* All other duties as assignedMorton Industries, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer## Qualifications**PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**High School Diploma or equivalentAssociates degree with a technical focus or 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance
