Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Works directly with the Supervisor to assist in maintaining facilities.
• Completes work using an automated work order system such as Bluefolder or similar software.
• Takes an active role in accomplishing tasks and provides leadership to Apprentices and co-workers by modeling initiative, customer service, efficiency, and technical ability.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal customers through communication and responsiveness.
• Organizes resources and establishes priorities for building or remodeling projects.
• Inspects buildings, grounds, equipment and fixtures to determine needs for maintenance or repair.
• Performs construction, maintenance and repair work on facilities including painting, plumbing, electrical, automatic entry systems, refrigeration equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Repairs or alters buildings, facilities, and other structures from plans, sketches, written or oral instructions.
• Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing, electrical and other systems and equipment in buildings and distribution systems.
• Operates construction tools, equipment and power tools.
• Follows safe work practices.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the condition of Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region (GORR) facilities operating throughout Washington. The Technician is semi-skilled in several trade fields and in addition to performing maintenance projects, the technician completes assigns work orders. The Technician helps to maintain a computerized work order system (Bluefolder), makes decisions on work priorities based on the schedule and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager. Preventive maintenance and building improvements include electrical, automatic entry systems, painting, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, and HVAC projects. Hourly Rate:

$20.98 - $22.80 per hour
