Job summary

ofi North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team at the Dublin, Texas facility.   • Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
  • Carry out plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed.
  • Use hand and power tools and electrical meters safely.
  • Report unusual issues to management and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Position Summary

The maintenance technician will be reporting to Maintenance Supervisor Tim Medford. The maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities with the organization. The duties typically include conducting routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, calibrating equipment, and implementing preventative maintenance measure to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency /unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Installs wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.
  • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform requirement maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • Perform regular Preventive Maintenance (PM) on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operators, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to management.
  • Responsible for not leaving plant premises when known problems exist without assuring corrective action is in place.
  • Must follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal and state rules and regulations which apply to the job, including but not limited to, right to know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, Bloodborne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.
  • All employees are responsible for the quality of OEN products. Each employee must perform his/her job function in accordance with the GMP rules and the sanitation, safety, and HACCP Programs.
  • Sanitation: Must keep the work area clean, neat, and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience
  • This position requires working varied hours and/or weekend work.
  • This role is performed on site at a facility that regularly processes peanuts Employees in this position will routinely work in areas where peanuts and related allergens are present and may be exposed by contact or in the air.
