Job summary

APG is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our Stone Mountain community running smoothly. You will complete work orders, prepare apartments for move-in, and perform preventive maintenance while keeping grounds clean and safe.

This hands-on role suits a dependable individual who works well independently and takes pride in service. You'll need basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs, plus a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical labor.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general repairs within authorized qualifications.
• Complete apartment make-readies and ensure units are ready by scheduled deadlines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine property inspections.
• Maintain clean grounds, breezeways, amenities, and common areas.
• Identify and report safety hazards and property damage.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and an organized shop.
• Document completed work orders and communicate outstanding issues to management.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as assigned.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable codes.
• Maintain a professional, punctual approach and positive resident relations.
• Treat all residents consistently and professionally, in line with Fair Housing requirements.
