Related Affordable is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to service two elderly and disabled residential communities in Stamford, CT. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry tasks and keep buildings safe and inviting for residents.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems.
  • Must participate in emergency on‑call rotation.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues promptly.
  • Conduct advanced routine maintenance including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
  • Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on‑call for emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

As a Maintenance Technician II at two elderly and disabled residential communities, Mapleview Towers (101 units) and Augustus Manor (105 units) in Stamford, CT, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE
  • $21.00 - $23.00 / hour
  • Annual Performance Bonus
  • This position is Non‑Exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay.

This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Affordable housing experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to participate in the emergency on‑call rotation as needed.
