Job summary

9Wood is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support our production facility in Oregon. The role focuses on maintaining equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting in repairs across multiple machines within six production zones.

You’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to quality craftsmanship. The position offers a 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday–Thursday schedule, opportunities to work with various tools, and a culture that values hands-on skills and safety.

  • Experience with welding/torch.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding.
  • Commitment to safety in a production environment.
  • Reliable team player with a solid work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment through a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns.
  • Plan and prepare parts and tools for planned maintenance and repair.
  • Rebuild and service hand tools.
  • Perform light welding and basic metal fabrication.
  • Maintain inventory and supply needs.

About The Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Tech, you will play a vital role in maintaining equipment. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to learn, as you will be expected to assist in maintenance needs in various areas on various machines. If you are a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality, we encourage you to apply.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be To
  • Maintaining equipment through a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Assist in troubleshooting and machine breakdowns
  • Planning and preparing parts and tools for planned maintenance and repair
  • Rebuilding and servicing hand tools
  • Light welding and metal fabrication
  • Maintaining inventory and supply needs
Qualifications
  • A background in welding/torch
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge
  • Plumbing/pneumatic or hydraulic system familiarity are a plus
  • Basic machine and shop practices
  • Detail oriented and safety conscious
  • Positive attendance record and reliable
  • Ability to do standing work for a 10-hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
