Job summary

Highland Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the Minnetonka Edgewater team in Spring Park. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with walk-in interviews Wednesdays 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, at 5290 Villa Way, Edina, MN 55436.

On-site living is optional but may offer rent discounts. Responsibilities include upkeep, resident requests, safety checks, and reporting expenses. Starting hourly rate is $25, with licensing support available; on-site housing is not

Qualifications

Prior maintenance experience in property management or similar settings.
Proven ability to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
Basic safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

Maintain property to ensure resident satisfaction.
Process maintenance requests from residents via work orders.
Check fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and boilers regularly.
Know shut-offs for water, gas, fixtures, and sewer clean-outs.
Ensure cleanliness and repair of vacant units and common areas.
Inspect pools where applicable and perform reports.

Hourly Rate: Starting at $ 25 per hour

Emergency on-call is optional, lucrative opportunities available if desired.

Boiler/CPO Licenses: These licenses are not a requirement for this position - Willingness to obtain one is. Highland Management Group pays for educational costs, training, and licensing. This includes exam fees!

Highland Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to be part of our team at Minnetonka Edgewater in Spring Park. Minnetonka Edgewater is a 82-unit property.

Living on-site is not a requirement for this position, but employees who do choose to live on-site will receive a higher rent discount!

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure resident satisfaction through the regular upkeep of the property, including preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement.
Complete Maintenance Requests from residents as received on work orders.
Check fire extinguishers and smoke detectors monthly and check boilers daily.
Have a working knowledge of water and gas meter shut offs, all apartment fixtures shut-off locations, and sewer clean-outs.
Assure the cleanliness and good repair of vacant units.
Check pools (if applicable) and complete miscellaneous inspections & reports.
Report regularly to Property Manager on projected expenses as authorized by manager for maintenance and service.
Other miscellaneous tasks as requested by the managers.
