Job summary

Roberts Resorts & Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our communities. You will upkeep grounds, facilities, streets, amenities, and equipment while delivering exceptional resident service.

Responsibilities include prioritizing tasks with the Maintenance Supervisor, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safety standards. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to handle after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and grounds maintenance.
  • Proficient in operating hand tools, power equipment and commercial machinery.
  • Ability to provide legible written reports.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to work on-call and be available for afterhours emergencies.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician performs routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of the community. They are responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the property grounds, facilities, streets, amenities, equipment and various utility systems. Maintenance Technicians provide exceptional customer service to prospective and current residents always.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
  • Responsible for assisting with maintaining the physical integrity of the community at all times. This involves insuring a clean and well maintained living environment for residents, visitors and staff.
  • Picking up any trash/debris observed on the property while performing normal duties.
  • Protect the investment of the property owner by anticipating, identifying, and correcting any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs in the community
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize tasks throughout the day
  • Ensure upkeep of community appearance by replacing lightbulbs, removing trash and litter, painting and performing repairs
  • Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, distribution of notices, inspections, and other tasks as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the community
  • Complete minor repairs to utility systems and streets as needed
  • Maintain grounds and landscaping to community standards (mowing and weeding as needed)
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, adhering to all safety procedures and properly using safety equipment
  • Inspect, clean and repair facilities and amenities which include clubhouse, basketball courts, swimming pools, and maintenance garage to ensure they are in good condition
  • Additional or modified duties as assigned within the Company’s discretion

  5. Commitment to quality and safety: Uphold high standards of quality and safety in all maintenance activities, adhering to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols to safeguard residents, staff, and property assets.
  6. Quality assurance: Demonstrated ability to conduct property quarterly inspections with a consistent score of 95%-100%, ensuring adherence to maintenance standards, identifying deficiencies, and implementing corrective actions promptly.
  7. Documentation proficiency: Skilled in completing daily and weekly checklists detailing maintenance tasks completed, as well as quarterly reports outlining projects executed, maintaining accurate records to track progress and compliance.
  8. Efficiency and productivity: Proven track record of completing daily checklists detailing work orders executed by maintenance staff, optimizing workflow processes, and resource allocation to achieve timely and effective maintenance outcomes.
  9. Reporting and analysis: Capable of compiling comprehensive quarterly reports detailing completed projects, analyzing data trends, and providing insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning for future maintenance initiatives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Demonstrate knowledge of broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and grounds maintenance
  • Proficient skills in operating hand tools, power equipment and commercial machinery
  • Ability to provide legible written reports
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
