Job summary

Roberts Resorts & Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure the upkeep and curb appeal of the community. You will supervise day-to-day maintenance tasks, coordinate grounds and cabin housekeeping, and ensure safety and compliance across all facilities.

You will oversee 4–5 team members, participate in mowing and grounds work, and work with the General Manager on emergency schedules and capital projects.

Position Summary:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will serve as a hands-on working leader responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the overall upkeep and curb appeal of the community. This role requires actively supporting day-to-day maintenance tasks—such as ensuring grounds are mowed, edged, and blown—while supervising the team and maintaining high operational standards.

The supervisor will also oversee cabin housekeeping coordination and overall property presentation, and must be CPO certified or willing to obtain certification. With strong communication and organizational skills, you will lead daily maintenance operations, coordinate tasks, and ensure safety and compliance while helping maintain a clean, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Performance Objectives:
  • Establish, prioritize, and follow up on daily maintenance work to be completed by the maintenance team.
  • Ensure the efficient and thorough completion of assigned work orders
  • Oversee maintenance projects and manage on-site contractors
  • The role is overseeing 4 to 5 team members who are doing mowing, pool clean and general property plumbing and electrical.
  • It is expected that the supervisor will be CPO certified or be willing to be Certifed Pool Operator (CPO) certified within 60 days.
  • Will actively participate in mowing and grounds maintenance work
  • Work with General Manager to establish emergency maintenance on-call schedule
  • Assist in all aspects of resort maintenance and repair of grounds, facilities, amenities, and various utility systems
  • Safely perform duties, adhering to all safety procedures and properly using safety equipment
  • Adhere to health, safety, and OSHA standards in all maintenance activities
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all community vehicles and equipment
  • Ensure safe storage of all hazardous chemicals/equipment
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Conduct regular inspections of resident/guest sites and issue rule reminders, violation notices, and follow-ups according to resort guidelines.
  • Participate in the selection of contractual services as requested by the general manager
  • Assist the General Manager with aspects of the Capital Expenditures Program, including reviewing budget variances, as needed
  • Ensure adherence to all company operating procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Skilled in coordinating maintenance projects and managing on-site contractors to achieve timely and satisfactory results
  6. Facility Maintenance Expertise: Experienced in all aspects of grounds and facility maintenance, including repair of amenities and various utility systems. Capable of prioritizing tasks and following up on completed work to ensure the upkeep of the facility
  7. Compliance and Safety: Thorough understanding and adherence to health, safety, and OSHA standards in all maintenance activities. Proficient in the safe use of equipment and proper handling of hazardous chemicals, ensuring the safety of oneself and others
  8. Inventory Management: Competent in maintaining inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability when needed for maintenance tasks
  9. Leadership and Collaboration: Skilled in collaborating with General Manager to establish maintenance schedules, emergency protocols, and capital expenditure plans. Able to lead a maintenance team effectively, providing guidance and support as needed
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in facility maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with common maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and OSHA standards preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Starting at $45,000 annually, depending on experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • Constantly stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel; Frequently use arms and hands
  • Manual dexterity for using facility equipment
  • Clear vision and hearing to communicate effectively
  • Capability to lift up and carry up to 50 pounds
