Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a comprehensive Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a SC facility. You will support safety systems, perform electrical/mechanical duties, and coordinate with subcontractors for renovations and repairs.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, reading manuals, diagnosing issues, and maintaining parts inventory to ensure minimal downtime across production lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification preferred.
• Experience in industrial maintenance or facility upkeep is desirable.
• Ability to read diagrams and manuals and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain facility and production equipment.
• Inspect facilities and equipment for functionality and malfunctions.
• Ensure safety systems (fire alarm, eye wash) are operable and compliant.
• Perform electrical maintenance: fixtures, outlets, bulbs, fuses, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals for servicing and repairs.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test adjustments.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Use hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance with subcontractors for renovations/repairs.
• Maintain inventory levels of spare parts for critical equipment.

Job description

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties including but not limited to installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety and preventive maintenance systems.

• Install and maintain facility and production equipment
• Inspects facilities and equipment to determine functionality and detect malfunctions and needed repair
• Checks and ensures functionality of safety systems and equipment (e.g. fire alarm, eye wash stations)
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Collaborate with subcontractors for renovations/ maintenance or fixing jobs.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Recommends parts and maintain required documents.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Keep facilities clean and organize maintenance workplace
• Coordinate maintenance subcontractors and schedule visits as needed
• Define and maintain appropriate inventory level of spare parts for critical equipment (e.g. milling equipment, mixers, others)
