We are actively hiring for the position of Maintenance Technician for our plant in Solon, OH
Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment according to established schedules.
- Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, and electrical issues.
- Perform repairs, adjustments, or component replacements to restore equipment functionality.
- Keep accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
- Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and effectively troubleshoot the root cause of the problem.
- Analyze malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and prevent recurring issues.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems and improve machine performance
Calibration and Testing:
- Calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure accurate operation and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform regular testing and inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and quality control requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and make necessary adjustments to optimize machine efficiency.
Maintenance Planning and Documentation:
- Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures, guidelines, and manuals.
- Create and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to procure necessary parts and equipment.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other maintenance technicians, operators, and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing status updates, reports, and recommendations.
- Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance tasks
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician or a similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a good understanding of machine operation and control systems.
- Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to machine maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
