Cottages at Nolte Farms is seeking a dependable, hands-on Part-Time Maintenance / Porter to help keep our build-to-rent community clean, well-maintained, and looking its best. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable handling a variety of light maintenance and property upkeep tasks.
Because our community is build-to-rent, many major repairs are completed by builders, warranty companies, or outside vendors. This role will focus primarily on day-to-day property maintenance, groundskeeping, completing minor work orders, identifying maintenance needs, and assisting with vendor and warranty-related repairs.
Previous apartment, residential, groundskeeping, porter, handyman, or general maintenance experience is preferred, but we’re open to someone who is reliable, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, manage their time effectively, communicate professionally with residents and vendors, use basic hand and power tools, and perform physical tasks such as walking the property, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
Part-time, with the exact schedule and weekly hours based on property needs. Some flexibility may be needed for move-ins, vendor appointments, property projects, or occasional urgent maintenance needs.
Someone who takes ownership of the community’s appearance and notices the little things—whether that’s a piece of trash on the grounds, a light that needs replacing, a resident work order that can be quickly resolved, or a warranty repair that needs to be followed up on. This position is an important part of making sure Cottages at Nolte Farms remains a community residents are proud to call home.
