5th & Madison is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Chief Engineer in preserving a first-class building standard. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, cleaning support and assist with a wide range of skilled tasks across the property.
The role covers general maintenance, drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical work and light janitorial tasks, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and efficient contractor supervision as needed.
The Maintenance Technician supports the Chief Engineer in maintaining the building to first-class standards by performing routine maintenance, repairs, cleaning support, and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
The technician performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work while helping reduce reliance on outside contractors.
This is a Sunday - Thursday Full-Time Position

Touch-up painting
Pressure washing (where applicable, pavers)
Trash removal (moving large bins to Loading Dock)
Recycling management
Common area inspections
Graffiti removal (minor)
Light Cleaning
Spot cleaning
Vacuuming common areas (Halls)
Cleaning mechanical rooms
Cleaning maintenance shop
Stairwell cleaning
BBQ Grill and area cleaning
Landscaping
Water plants
Prune shrubs
Replace seasonal flowers
Weed landscape beds
Maintain irrigation observation
Preventive Maintenance
Assist with:
Mechanical room inspections
Roof inspections
Fire extinguisher inspections
Equipment rounds
Documentation
Contractor Supervision
Homeowner Service
Complete/assess work orders/maintenance requests
Assist homeowners - Minor
Emergency response assistance
Qualifications
General handyman experience
Basic plumbing knowledge
Basic electrical knowledge
Drywall and painting experience
Ability and willingness to also do light janitorial work
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Ability to use ladders
No specific trade license required. Candidates should be dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn.
