Job summary

Saturday Properties in Madison, WI is seeking a Maintenance Tech to keep building operations safe and functional while delivering exceptional resident experiences. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general systems, respond to on-call emergencies, and coordinate with vendors to keep the portfolio running smoothly.

You will handle unit turns, repainting and repairs, patching drywall, and maintaining inventory, ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
• 3+ years general maintenance experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Painting experience.
• Ability to utilize company software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in maintenance projects; troubleshoot HVAC/heating failures.
• Repair or replace appliances and diagnose issues.
• Patch, repair, and repaint drywall as needed.
• Monitor maintenance/cleaning supply inventory and process orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships; publish/update vendor list.
• Work with Maintenance Supervisor to meet facility needs; on-call rotation.
• Execute preventative maintenance program and pool maintenance.
• Repair items such as showers, sinks, appliances, and walls.
• Oversee unit turns and safety/customer service in all duties.

Maintenance Tech role is to maintain building operations and ensure the facilities are safe and functional at all times while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Participates in on-call program to act on maintenance emergencies across portfolio.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Participate in all types of maintenance projects - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct air conditioning failures/heating failures
• Trouble-shoots, diagnose, repair, or replace appliances
• Patch, repair, and replace drywall and paint as necessary
• Assists in monitoring inventory of: maintenance/cleaning supplies, facilitating accurate replacement orders
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure proper functioning, operation, and maintenance of all equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
• Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, collaborating on the approved vendor list, keeping vendor list updated, and publishing the list for the properties.
• Works with Maintenance Supervisor to meet and exceed the needs of the facility
• Execute preventative maintenance program as directed
• Pool maintenance
• Repairs for items such as showers, sinks, appliances, and walls

Ensure a well-maintained Property

• Make vacant units ready for new move-ins
• Responsible for Unit Turn painting
• Incorporates both safety and customer service in the performance of all job duties
• Re-key locks and cut keys as necessary
• Oversee all work orders from start to finish
• Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
• 3+ years general maintenance experience
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors.

• Requires ability to Utilize Company Software
