Brayman Construction Corporation in Saxonburg, PA is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician. The role involves Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks to support our Manufacturing and service shops.

You will maintain equipment on site and assist with interior and exterior repairs, with a schedule typically 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate has 5 years experience in Electrical/Plumbing/Carpentry, a valid driver’s license, and a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 5 years' experience in Electrical, Plumbing, and/or Carpentry.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills required to use a laptop and smart phone for diagnostic tools and work orders/time entry.
  • Positive attitude to work in conjunction with our team in a dynamic paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Works indoors and outdoors; protective clothing/equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Maintenance duties including Electrical, mechanical repairs and general building repairs.
  • Operate and perform minor repairs of machinery in a safe manner.
  • Maintain all equipment on and off the grounds.
  • Day-to-day general maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Interior maintenance tasks such as patching walls, painting, staining.

Maintenance Technician Role Summary

The Maintenance Technician for our Machine/Facilities Maintenance Dept. to assist with routine and preventive needs within our Manufacturing and service shops. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a good knowledge of basic Electric and able to work independently or assist in team projects. Accountability and reliability are a must in this role.

The schedule for a Maintenance Technician will generally be 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday-Friday. Some flexibility is required.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform various types of Maintenance duties, such as Electrical maintenance, mechanical repairs, and general building repairs
  • Operating and possible minor repairs of machinery in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Maintaining of all equipment both on and off the grounds
  • Day-to-day general maintenance duties as assigned
  • Interior maintenance may also be requested (patching walls, painting, staining, etc.)
Other Skills/Qualifications
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • 5 years' experience in Electrical, Plumbing, and/or Carpentry
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills required in order to use a laptop and a smart phone for diagnostic tools, service manual reviews, and completion of work orders/time entry
  • Positive attitude to work in conjunction with our team in a dynamic paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle more than one task at any given time while possible interruptions may occur during the day
  • Works both indoors and outdoors
  • Wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment including gloves, safety glasses and ear protection when necessary

Safety Sensitive Position

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, around high voltage, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
