Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform critical upkeep of building systems. You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire/sprinkler systems, generators, and kitchen equipment to keep communities safe and comfortable.

The role involves responding to maintenance requests, coordinating with directors and residents, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This position is based in a Brookdale community in California.

Qualifications

• Maintenance technicia ns will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on building systems.
• Strong ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements for facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler systems, generators, landscape and kitchen equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests from community directors and residents in private and public areas.
• Communicate with local fire marshal and building inspectors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company policies.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Requirements to be a Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians will maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on, but not limited to: HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment and emergency pull cord equipment. Maintenance Technicians will also perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned and respond to maintenance requests by community directors and residents in both private rooms and public living areas. They will also maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector and any other jurisdictions governing the community.
