PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a Maintenance Technician 2, you will be responsible for support within the facility, focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying material handling equipment and systems to ensure operational performance of conveyors, washers, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and boilers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety standards and policies
• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical
• Perform Preventative, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance
• Be familiar with, maintain and operate boilers and steam systems
• Work Orders management by inputting appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Conduct maintenance and high-level troubleshooting of automation equipment and associated support systems
• Troubleshoot PLC programs including using ladder logic, components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet, Can-bus, etc.)
• Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials up to 480V
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet organizational needs.
• 3+ yrs. of experience as an engineering tech.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is desirable.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable with change and capable of working in a dynamic environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Availability for rotating shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
• Future domestic travel may be necessary for training and to visit other locations.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that undergoes frequent changes.
• Able to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist for up to 10 hours.
• Able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs
