Job description

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a General Maintenance Technician.

The General Maintenance Technician will complete assigned preventive and reactive maintenance repairs, including conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and other equipment, systems, or structures. Ensures repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities. Responds to spills and other emergency situations, performing necessary tasks and assisting in emergencies as needed.

Pay: $36.00/hr

The pay listed is the hourly range or rate for this position. Offers will vary based on experience, skills, abilities, location, and market data.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair the facility's structure, equipment, and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, business equipment, appliances, and other building systems.
• Perform skilled trades such as carpentry, painting, and repairs of walls, rooftops, fixtures, and appliances.
• Collaborate with responsible personnel for installation or repair of mechanical and electrical systems required in production.
• Conduct periodic and special inspections to determine necessary repairs to maintain safety and integrity.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, or sketches.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Customer service experience.
• 2-3 years of similar work experience.
• Skilled in using specialized tools and test equipment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing concepts.
• Proficient with computers and digital tools such as software, email, and databases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
