Job summary

Raines Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, meeting spaces, back and front of house areas. The role supports a hospitality environment with emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and timely service.

Ideal candidates have handyman experience and basic knowledge of door locks, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Hotel-related maintenance experience and familiarity with Quore are a plus; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Handyman experience is a strong plus.
• Hotel or restaurant maintenance knowledge preferred.
• Quore or similar maintenance software familiarity is a plus.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to work order policies and procedures.
• Maintain and repair guest rooms, public areas and related spaces.
• Coordinate repairs with vendors or HVAC specialists as needed.
• Repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical fixtures per manufacturer specs.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow life-safety and maintenance programs; attend drills.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and document findings.

Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, back of the house and front of the house areas.

Essential Job Functions

• Adhere to all work order policies and procedures
• Maintain and repair minor guest room, public area, kitchen, and other areas within the skill set of the Technician. Contacts Engineering Supervisor and coordinates with vendors for repairs needing professional expertise
• Repair air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical fixtures to manufacturer’s specifications, within skill set; otherwise coordinate with HVAC repair company.
• Maintain work areas clean and organized
• Maintain and repair carpets, wall coverings, furniture, painted surfaces and appliances
• Change burned out light bulbs and make other cosmetic repairs as assigned
• Maintain chemical levels in automatic mechanical systems
• Maintain carts and proper storage and inventory of all supplies
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately
• Respond to employee emergency situations using information contained in M.S.D. sheets
• Participate in all inspections of life-safety systems including extinguishers smoke alarms etc. to maintain proper safety standards
• Follow the Preventative Maintenance program
• Handle guestroom maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain files of and be familiar with all operational manuals and warranty agreements for equipment
• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status and report to Guest Services and/or the General Manager with findings
• Attend monthly meetings and any other functions required by management
• Attend fire drills and trainings
• Maintain key controls
• Conduct daily property tour of the hotel and exterior perimeter for debris and trash removal; Check lighting

Experience And Education

Handyman experience is big plus.

Understanding of how to maintain and repair issues arising in a hotel or restaurant. Prior experience not necessary.

Understanding of door lock system (both tech and hardware) is a plus.

Laundry room, kitchen equipment and overall hotel equipment repair experience a plus.

Experience using Quore or other Hotel Maintenance related applications a plus.

Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
