Job summary

The Wealshire in Medina, MN is seeking a dedicated maintenance specialist to support daily operations and upkeep of our community. You will perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and support resident needs with a compassionate, detail‑oriented approach.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours, weekend, and emergency maintenance needs. Occasional flexibility may be required based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment on a scheduled basis (filters, ice machines, bulbs)
• Carry out minor repairs (toilets, sinks, door closures, locking mechanisms) and basic hardware tasks
• Handle snow/ice removal, light landscaping, and parking lot cleanup
• Assist in moving resident belongings to assigned rooms
• Document preventative and repair maintenance activities
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Provide suggestions for improvements and participate in on-call rotations
• Perform interior painting, staining, and drywall repair
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job description

Daily operations to maintain community located in Medina, MN. This position requires an extremely detailed, self‑motivated, individual to help address our needs in the maintaining of our community. Our company is recognized as the premier provider of dementia and Alzheimer’s care in the state of Minnesota.

Salary:

$25.00 per hour

• Full‑time position
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Participation in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours, weekend, and emergency maintenance needs
• Occasional flexibility may be required based on facility needs
• Performs preventative maintenance on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis, such as but not limited to: changing air filters, cleaning ice machines and changing light bulbs
• Performs minor repairs of building to include but not limited to: toilets, sinks, door closures and locking mechanisms, window blinds, broken windows, etc
• Responsible for snow and ice removal, light landscaping, keeping parking lot free of litter and debris. Winterizing plants, trees, and shrubs
• Minor appliance maintenance such as but not limited to: refrigerators, freezers, dryers, washers, vacuums - per monthly physical plant checklist
• Performs interior painting, staining & drywall repair
• Assists in moving residents belongings to rooms assigned to them
• Maintains and/or repairs water fountains
• Documents all preventative and repair maintenance
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests in timely manner
• Offers suggestions and ideas for improvement
• Emergency On Call Rotation
• Other duties as assigned
