Job summary

LECO in St. Joseph, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical control systems across a range of laboratory instruments. The role supports continuous improvement of production and helps develop concepts and designs for equipment upgrades.

The position requires hands-on maintenance, familiarity with PLCs, welding and safe work practices, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time with early morning shift and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical control systems and equipment
• Develop continuous process improvement strategies, ideas, and concepts
• Specify and design new equipment along with retrofitting existing equipment
• Aide in the standardization of controls and equipment
• Evaluate, develop, and complete periodic maintenance task per the manufacturers and LECO’s requirements

Schedule

Full Time: 6:00am — 2:30pm, Monday — Friday, Overtime as required

Position Summary

Troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment (both mechanical and electronically controlled). Aide in continuous improvement of production and developing concept ideas and designs.

• Aide in the standardization of controls and equipment

Position Requirements

• A Valid Drivers License
• Computer Literate (Primarily Microsoft Office)
• Programmable Logic Controller Experience
• Natural Gas Control Systems preferred
• Welding Experience preferred
