Job summary

Jobtailor in Sacramento, CA seeks a hands-on maintenance professional to repair and maintain assigned programs and renovate apartments for new residents.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, inspect building perimeters, and ensure safe, clean common areas, while advising the Program Manager on repairs and improvements.

Strong DIY skills, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions are essential, as is a valid CA driver's license and CPR/First Aid readiness.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry tasks.
• Communicate and comprehend oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of issues facing homelessness, substance abuse, youth, minorities and people with disabilities.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours.
• Willingness to function as a team member.
• Computer skills and a valid California driver's license.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of employment.
• Completion and maintenance of required training and health clearances.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of assigned programs as needed.
• Ensure quality service in a safe, non-judgmental manner for all participants.

• Renovate apartments for new residents.
• Repair apartment deficiencies as they occur.
