Job summary

SPM, LLC – Village Square Apartments in Russellville, AL is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep apartments safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, respond to service requests within 24 hours, and support curb appeal and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the community, inside and out.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, electrical issues, plumbing problems, and appliances.
• Complete service requests within 24 hours with care and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Support curb appeal: clean grounds, pressure wash exteriors, and more.
• Rotate on-call duties with the maintenance team for after-hours coverage.

What You’ll Do:

• Take ownership of maintaining the physical condition of the community, inside and out.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, electrical issues, plumbing problems, and appliances (stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, disposals, etc.).
• Complete service requests within 24 hours quickly, efficiently, and with care,
• Perform routine upkeep and preventive maintenance to keep everything running smoothly,
• Help maintain excellent curb appeal: remove debris, pressure wash exteriors, maintain grounds, and more.
• Rotate on-call duties with the maintenance team for after-hours and occasional holiday/weekend support.
• Keep inventory of commonly used parts and materials to control maintenance expenditures.
• Collaborate with team members and vendorsand always go the extra mile for residents.

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous property maintenance experience
• HVAC certification (preferred but not required)
