Job summary

Ivy Park at Seal Beach is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for the community’s physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and resident units, in line with our mission and values.

Responsibilities include basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, assisting with turnovers, and maintaining grounds, pools, and safety across the property.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience in building maintenance or related fields.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background checks.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; basic MS Office skills expected.
• Willingness to work with elderly residents in a senior living community.
• Ability to operate electrical, plumbing and HVAC tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and departments.

The Maintenance Technician

is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company�s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers � painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
