Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support the automation, repair, and optimization of robotic and material handling systems at a client facility. You will handle hands-on maintenance, preventive tasks, and documentation to keep complex equipment safe and reliable.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of related experience, and proficiency with MS Office. You will work with the operations maintenance team and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

  • Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.
  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as routine maintenance, repairs, preventive measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.

About The Role

Step into the heart of automation. As a Maintenance Technician II, you’ll support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of cutting‑edge robotic and material handling systems within a dynamic client facility. From hands‑on repairs to performance enhancements, you’ll play a key role in keeping complex systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

What You’ll Need
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience using powered or non‑powered hand tools.
  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as routine maintenance, repairs, preventive measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.
  • Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the mechanical or electrical field.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • 2+ years' experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years' experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • 2+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
  • 2+ year experience of following and demonstrating safety standards.
  • 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $65,728 annually or $31.60 per hour, and the maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $71,968 annually or $34.60 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
