Job summary

The Grove Community Church in Riverside, CA is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities team. You will perform non-technical maintenance across structural, plumbing, and HVAC systems and perform carpentry, painting, and cabinet repairs to keep areas ready for services and events.

You will assist with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs, order parts, and work with staff and volunteers under the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic maintenance tasks across facilities is preferred.
• Ability to perform carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs as needed.
• Comfort with basic electrical/plumbing tasks and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-technical maintenance of structural, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
• Carpentry maintenance including drywall, window, and cabinet work; painting as required.
• Assist with HVAC maintenance and filter replacement; assist with electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Repair and service kitchen, food service, and janitorial equipment.
• Order parts and supplies and pick up items from local vendors.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as needed.

Job description

The Grove’s Maintenance team is a vital part of keeping our church running efficiently. The Maintenance Technician works closely with our Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor and the entire Grove team, to ensure that all areas of the church are functioning well, presentable, and ready to go for every regular church service as well as any other events that are held at The Grove.Reports to: Maintenance SupervisorWorks with: Staff and volunteersWorks: Part time, hourlyMAINTENANCE — 95%Perform non-technical maintenance of structural, plumbing, and HVAC equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure.Perform carpentry maintenance, including routine sheet rock/drywall installation and repair, window replacement, cabinet/countertop replacement, and painting.Assist with maintaining HVAC systems; replace filters.Assist with standard repairs to electrical and plumbing systems.Repair and service kitchen, food service, and janitorial equipment as needed.Request parts and supplies as needed for tasks, including parts pick-up at local vendors.OTHER— 5%Join church all-staff meetings and devotions when available.Attend Facilities trainings as needed.Before submitting a resume and cover letter, please read The Grove’s Statement of Faith and Foundational Beliefs.
