Job summary

NewBasis is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Riverside, CA manufacturing team. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete repairs to minimize downtime while keeping operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in mechanical and electrical maintenance, reads schematics, and follows OSHA/Loto procedures. Forklift certification and willingness to work extended shifts are a plus.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $27.00 Hourly

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Riverside, CA . In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping our manufacturing plant running smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs to minimize downtime and keep operations running safely and efficiently .

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on production equipment and machinery .

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems .

Inspect and service facility systems, including dust collection units, compressed air lines, and electrical infrastructure .

Respond quickly to emergency equipment breakdowns on the production floor to minimize operational downtime .

Strictly follow and enforce OSHA safety guidelines and company safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and hazmat compliance .

Accurately complete work orders and maintain preventive maintenance logs .

Assist with parts inventory tracking by identifying and reporting needed replacement parts .

Maintain clean and organized shop areas adhering to 5S and housekeeping standards .

Safely operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and specialized hand/power tools .

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required ; technical or vocational certification preferred .

Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment .

Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment .

Safety Knowledge: Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures .

Schematics: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics .

Certifications: Forklift certified (or ability to obtain certification upon hire) .

Languages: English proficiency required ; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus .

Schedule: Ability to work extended hours, overtime, or varying shifts as business needs dictate .

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Ability to stand, walk, squat, reach, bend, and balance throughout a 10-hour shift .

Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs with assistance .

Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment around heavy equipment and machinery .
