Job summary

J&O Plastics in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain equipment across the plant, including electrical and mechanical systems, production lines, utilities, and facilities.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will perform routine PMs, diagnose faults, install and align new equipment, and support robotics and automation systems (STAR Cartesian 3-axis and FANUC 6-axis robots).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools required.
• Experience with Maintenance X helpful.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, quality employees and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in relocating or installing building equipment as needed.
• Perform hydraulic repairs and diagnose system failures.
• Install and align new equipment up to specification.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility and production systems.
• Work independently with limited support for day-to-day repairs and PMs.
• Operate standard maintenance tools safely.
• Perform demolition and construction as necessary in the facilities.
• Work in a team environment and independently as needed.
• Support robotics and automation systems as required.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the successful Maintenance Technician candidate will repair and maintain equipment within several areas of responsibility. You will be a part of the team that maintains all physical aspects of the plant including service of electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance of production equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in relocating or installing building equipment as needed
• Perform hydraulic repairs
• Identify and diagnose system failures
• Installing and aligning new equipment up to specification
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility and production system and equipment.
• Working independently with limited support for day-to-day repairs and PMs
• Operating standard maintenance tools in a safe manner
• Perform demolition and construction as necessary in the facilities
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as on your own
• Help maintain a professional, safe, and organized production facility
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Robotics and Automation(STAR Cartesian 3-axis and FANUC 6-axis robots)

Education and experience:

• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools required

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Identify and record problems relating to the product, process, and quality system
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
• Humidity levels are elevated during summer months; plant floor is not climate controlled.
