Job summary

Associa is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Reno, NV to uphold the quality of life for residents and protect property value. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep building systems operating efficiently.
• Carry out carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs as needed to maintain the building.
• Clean and repair fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on systems and equipment as required.

• Performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.

Compensation:

$21-$23/hour; direct experience highly considered.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements
• Knowledge of equipment associated with custodial trades
• Ability to interpret and complete verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level
• Time management and time-critical prioritization skills
• Valid driver's license.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0–3 years of directly related or closely related experience

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to operate vacuum, buffer, carpet extractors, blowers, and equipment normally associated with custodial trades
• Must handle cleaning chemicals with caution and follow manufacturer’s label instructions
• Must comply with the association safety program and meet safety requirements and standards
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, crawl, talk, hear, push, pull, grasp, use hands and fingers, have clear vision, and lift up to 50 pounds
