Job summary

IPC in Indiana is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing operation. The role involves installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support uptime and safety.

Two open positions exist: one on 3rd Shift and another that can float across all three shifts. Applicants should have hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Inspect, diagnose, repair, and test mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Safety & Communication: Complete work orders safely, report issues, and maintain open communication with the team and leadership.
• Operational Support: Respond to emergencies, track spare parts usage, and assist with inventory and production schedules.

Who We're Looking For

The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in keeping our operation running safely and efficiently. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support site goals, uptime, and safety standards.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

At this time we have two open positions, one for 3rd Shift and a second person who would be willing to float between all three shifts.

Our hours of operation are:

• 1st Shift - 7 AM- 3 PM - Monday - Friday
• 2nd Shift - 3PM - 11 PM - Monday - Friday
• 3rd Shift - 11 PM - 7 AM - Sunday - Thursday

What You'll Be Doing

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
• Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust as needed
• Install electric motors and perform basic VFD programming
• Troubleshoot control circuits and production equipment
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on machines and facility equipment

Safety & Communication

• Complete all work orders safely and in accordance with IPC processes
• Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials, or unsafe conditions
• Maintain open communication with supervisors, maintenance team members, and plant leadership
• Support maintenance technicians across all shifts as needed

Operational Support

• Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repairs during production
• Track spare parts usage and assist with inventory management
• Work within established schedules and production requirement
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations

Who You Are

• You have experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment preferred
• You have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
